Tabra Tunoa, an internationally known artist, a leader in the Contemporary Ethnic style of Gypsy Jewelry, studied Mayan and Aztec art at the Universities of Mexico City and Costa Rica as well as jewelry design at the Massana Art Institute in Barcelona, Spain before selling her designs on the streets of Berkeley in the 70's.
Today Tabra gives a percentage of her jewelry sales to promote human rights and education for young women living in Bangladesh.
Tabra says designing jewelry and helping women of the Third World will be her passion forever.
